All Things Bookish

New Romantic Suspense Series with Mountain Brook Ink

Keeping good news to myself hasn’t been easy, but today, I can officially share this book announcement with you. With the help of my agent, Stephanie Alton of The Blythe Daniel Agency, I’ve signed with Mountain Brook Ink for a new Romantic Suspense series.

The first book in the series, Take My Hand, is scheduled to release December 2022 with the sequel to follow a year later in 2023.

This announcement doesn’t mean I won’t write young adult fiction any more. I actually have a few projects for my teenage friends in the works, which I hope to share in God’s time. That said, I am thrilled to branch into women’s fiction!

About Take My Hand

For now, here’s a snapshot of what the story is about.

Trauma therapist Kaley Colbert needs a vacation from her job, and a ski trip with her church singles’ group seems like the perfect way to unplug. But when she learns that her last client was murdered hours after their meeting, she wonders if the stalker notes she’s receiving in the mountains hold a more sinister warning.

On the trip, ex-boyfriend and entrepreneur Reef Mitchell wants to give their relationship another chance, but she questions if his past and priorities could ever mesh with her life. When her client’s underworld connections catch up with her, she has no choice but trust Reef to help her stay alive, solve her client’s mystery, and bring the killers to justice.

And just for fun, I created this graphic meme of key elements from the story. This book is jam-packed with action — and pizza? Yes, there’s pizza, from one of the best pizzerias I’ve visited in real life.

For Pinterest fans, you’re also welcome to follow my board for Take My Hand, which I will continue to build. For fellow pizza lovers, you can find a link to that pizzeria there.

A Personal Thank You

Dear readers and friends, your support means the world to me. Your reviews, word of mouth, and book love for my stories is a huge encouragement. I look forward to sharing more writing updates with you in the future.
