2026 Selah Award Winners
Last week, I was traveling with my family when my phone started buzzing with text messages from a friend and from my agent with some delightful news. Both of my projects that finaled in the Selah Awards placed in their respective categories! Celebrating Two Selah Finalists
Do you want to know a secret? We authors enter dozens of contests and often never final (or place). When one of our books does final, you can imagine how encouraged we are! The Selah Finalists were announced this week, and I was so encouraged and honored to hear that Watch Your Back is a finalist in the romantic suspense category, and Hold Your Breath is an audiobook finalist. Come Explore Beech Mountain, the Setting in Crossroads Suspense
Each book in my Crossroads Suspense series takes my lead characters to at least two settings, one of which is Beech Mountain, North Carolina. This location is close to my heart, as my now-husband taught me to ski there and proposed at a nearby vista called Wiseman’s View. This setting remains one of our favorite family travel spots. Happy Release Day to Watch Your Back, Crossroads Suspense, Book 3
I have run only one half-marathon in my life, and today feels a bit like reaching the finish line. After months of training and more miles run than I care to count, I ran those 13.1 miles and crossed the finish line with a smile on my face. Writing and preparing to release Watch Your Back has felt like a marathon. My son was only a year old when my manuscript deadline for my publisher, Mountain Brook Ink, arrived, and he skipped more naps and got sick more often than I’d imagined possible.
