Surprise! New Children’s Book Places Second in Contest
You already know I love writing Christian romantic suspense for women and have a young adult dystopian trilogy for teens. Also on my heart has been to write children’s books that my son can read, and I’m excited to share that a new project is in progress. My agent and I have been working together to pitch it to publishers. This week, that project placed second in the ACFW KidLit Contest for Unpublished Picture and Board books.

If you’ve been on this publishing journey with me for a while, you know that we writers enter many contests in which we never place or final. So, when we do final or place, you can imagine how encouraged we are! I am so honored to be part of this group of winners. Now, you can be praying with me that we find the right publishing home for my story Not Much Lunch.
What’s it about? It’s biblical fiction on the well-loved story of Jesus feeding the five thousand. It’s about a little boy named Jacob who learns that little is much when the Lord is in it.
The publishing industry does not usually move quickly, but I believe God’s timing is perfect. One day, I hope to share this story with you and your littles.
For now, I’m thankful for this moment. Congratulations to all the participants, finalists, and winners in this contest!
